This Telling Time hands-on pack is designed to provide Grade 1 and Grade 2 students with fun, hands-on, differentiated activities for learning to tell the time (including o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to).
Tasks have been carefully created to meet the common core standards and Australian curriculum outcomes for this grade level to build proficiency, fluency, and confidence with this life skill, telling the time.
How this Pack Works:
Each activity has a task card that can be used by the teacher, parent helper or read by the students themselves. On every A4 poster, there is a list of resources needed for the task. Activities can be used and differentiated for the whole class, used as components of numeracy rotations or intervention activities in small groups to support or extend students.
We have also included two pages for teachers to use as a guide to differentiating each task to cater to the individual learners in your classroom.

It takes some time to get it all put together and ready, but it's a great resource to pull out when doing a Time unit or after to refresh students.
My students absolutely loved these hands-on activities and they were a great addition to our maths rotations.
This resource pack is amazing! I wish I had found it earlier for when we were learning about calendars. The activities are easy to prep and differentiate, which as a teacher is a definite plus for me.
