Place value is a vital mathematical concept but can be a difficult one for students.
It is the key to understanding our number system and so many other mathematical skills depend on a solid understanding of it.
It is a concept that needs to be explicitly taught and revised for students to gain a deep understanding.
Display these posters according to the size of the numbers your students are working with and add to your display as the year progresses and students begin to work with larger numbers.
Use the digit cards included to create an ‘interactive’ place value chart for students to work with. Create numbers to use as examples or choose a ‘number of the day’ to work with as a fluency warmup or for your learning activities.

These place value posters are really bright and provide students with a nice visual aid to help them understand and remind them of place values.

This has been a great resource. I have been able to use it in my whole group lessons and point it out throughout the class to help make connections.
Great PV chart that not only brightens up the room but was referred to on a daily basis. Loved how not only has the heading of the PV but has the number, picture and word for that PV. To fit across the whiteboard, I actually printed 2 to an A4 page. This size was still easily seen and great to use when learning about decimals or multiplying/dividing by 10, 100 or 1000. You can easily just draw the horizontal/vertical lines for a quick chart during lessons.
These are very helpful for place value. I just took mine down and my students complained because they used them so much!
