The creative side of learning always engages my students, and this resource was no exception! Place value has been a recurring challenge for many of them, but this hands-on approach made a huge difference.

I loved how this resource allowed for flexibility—whether working step by step or taking breaks when frustration hit, my students were able to learn at their own pace. The best part? They got to make it their own! Adding their personal touch while still mastering place value concepts kept them motivated and engaged.

Teaching SPED is my Jam

This Place Value Chart Activity is an excellent tool for helping students grasp the concept of place value in a hands-on way! My students enjoyed creating their own charts, which gave them a sense of ownership over their learning. The instructions were clear, and the visuals helped make the concept easy to understand. It's perfect for reinforcing place value during math rotations or as an interactive lesson. I highly recommend this resource to any teacher looking to engage students while teaching such an essential math skill!

Great addition to my classroom. The students enjoyed it.

My students each made a small version for their notebooks and colored it the same as the large one we hung as an anchor chart. We added a road for the wall, and this was infinitely helpful in figuring out how to say larger numbers and where to put the commas. I actually even started an assessment by giving them a blank copy so that they could paste the terms in the correct places and then use them on the test. I will definitely be using this for years to come!
