Nude Food Resource | WOW Food | Grades 1-4

This pack includes 14 activities ideal to promote Nude Food or W.O.W Food during the month of October or when introducing a ‘Nude Food’ initiative in your school or at the beginning of each year to remind students about the importance of Nude or WOW Food. It could also be used to support an environmental unit or lessons such as sustainability or Earth Day.

WOW stands for Wipe Out Waste!

National Nude Food Day is celebrated in the month of October in Australia. It is about building healthy habits and a sustainable environment. The main message of Nude Food Day is eating well and living well.

Activities have been designed to encourage students to think about the importance of Nude Food and how their choices impact their personal wellbeing and the wellbeing of our planet. Activities also have a focus on how ‘Nude’ or ‘WOW’ foods help us reduce, reuse, recycle. Tasks include literacy, numeracy, reflective and creative components and are designed to suit a range of learners in the classroom.
