This 3D Light Bulb Display is a perfect way to add some student personality and colour to your classroom at the start of a new academic or calendar year.
The purpose of this activity is for students to reflect on what they wish will occur through the year by recording what they are looking forward to, as well as setting goals for three learning areas.

This display turned out so cute, and my students loved seeing their work hanging in the classroom. It was easy to put together and made a great way to kick off the new year while encouraging students to reflect on their goals and ideas.

We did this as a class and then hung them up in our room above their desks. Colorful and thoughtful!
I absolutely love this craft, and so do my students! It's great, because it doesn't have the year on it, so I don't have to find/make a new template every year. Also, they are hanging from the ceiling in my classroom serving as decoration and a reminder of our goals!
(It does take a while to complete this craft, so I suggest splitting it up over several days. We did one bulb a day, and this seemed to be a good pace for my kids.)

This is a great extension on our goal planning at the beginning of the year and to revisit our goals at the new year.
I had the students do these on our first day back from break and we hung them from the ceiling above their chairs to hold each student accountable for the goals they set for math, reading and writing! Love this resource!
