Christmas Compliment Wreaths Activity | Christmas Kindness

Christmas time is about the gift of giving, but it doesn’t always need to be physical gifts. Giving and receiving compliments can really make someone feel good. Teach your students the art of giving compliments with this simple lesson and beautiful bulletin board display.

This resource includes everything you need to spread a little more kindness in your classroom this festive season.

Inclusions:

• ­Teacher lesson plan
• ­Compliment leaves (blank template + a template with sentence starters)
• ­Bow clipart
• ­Letters to add names to wreaths
• ­“Compliment Wreaths” bulletin board letters
• ­Bauble template (to practice compliment writing). We have included 3 versions to suit different age groups or easily differentiate. If you are short on time, you could give your students the example page to use as a guide.

Teacher tip: Give each child a set of compliment leaves, then ask students to move from desk to desk, leaving compliments for each other on the leaf templates. We have found students moving around allows them to see who needs compliments and saves some students getting lots, and others only getting a few.

No further teacher prep needed, simply print and enjoy watching kindness spread while your class give each other compliments!
